a new version of you

Can you become
Can you become
A new version of you

New wallpaper
New shoe leather
A new way home
I don't remember

New version of you
I need a new version of me

New version of you
I need a new version of me
Do you know what the lyrics above mean? I don't. Golden started watching Felicity on WE a few months ago, and now she is hooked. As a result I am guaranteed to hear the Felicity theme at least a couple of times every week.

I am not really drawn to the show so that probably taints my view of the theme lyrics. Even so, they simply don't make any sense to me. I also know songs for TV shows aren't always supposed to make sense, but these lyrics sound like they are supposed to make sense and still don't. That just makes the whole thing worse.

I think J.J. Abrams could learn a lot from the theme to another TV show that I enjoyed growing up regarding creativity in relaying the purpose of the show. Let me illustrate.

Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, Batman!

Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, Batman!

Batman, Batman, Batman!

Isn't that so much better?

Dust,
I have never watched the show before, but the lyrics make complete sense and I could guess what the show is about.
It must be about discovery. Discovery or a new person as one goes thru some major life shifts. Who you thought you were vs. what you are becoming.

Is she a small town girl going to a college in a big city? Meeting new friends, new cultures, having her paradigm challenged...that is my guess from the lyrics.

I had no dificulty understanding the lyrics to felicity. I have only seen part of a couple episodes, but it fits the show.

While both have their value, I think I have to agree with clearing on the batman theme (even though he probably isn't looking for agreement! :) )

PB and J is to Dirt as Ritz is to Dust! LOL. :)

feliz de dia de cumpleanos (or something like that)
I'm a big fan of the batman lyrics...as a child I sung them often. Usually while riding my bike as fast as possible.

Don't forget the theme from the Superfriends series ... no words, but how cool was that.

Forrest, is there any other kind of show on the WB? Granted, it's not always college - sometimes it's a 'creek, a 'wood, or a beach that he/she is moving to....

By the way if you understood those references, you watch too much WB.

there are 24 nas in batman theme - that is 4x6, which 4x2=8 and 6+2=8 so 8x2=16 (you bright people can see where I'm going with this) That makes 3 equations using number 2. 2x3=6:6x2=12:12x2=16 - - - batman secret number.

At first I thought Dash was a poet, then I recognized the words. Wah-Wah use to watch that show in her college days and I would give her a hard time about it. She watched the first season, then she said she lost interest because it turned into more of a soap opera

BB, so Wah-Wah used to watch Felicity? I agree with her. I got hooked on the first season and then it did turn into a soap opera. I was kinda dissappointed. I am embarrassed that I watch it now. The problem is that I want to know how the characters turn out. Will Noel and Felicity ever get back together? I am in their senior year now. Once I see the series finale I will stop watching it.
