replace with bloc?

Every time I do a spell check in Blogger with a post that includes the word "blog" I am asked if I want to replace the word with something else like "bloc." This is humorous on a couple of levels. First, and most obvious, is that I am being corrected when I am posting this text to my blog. Second, who actually uses the word "bloc" except within narrow discussions in political science?

Someone needs to take this up with Blogger, which is a word I was asked to replace with "Blocker" when I ran the spell checker. Figures.

well if golden's the queen of spelling, I'm the queen of spell check! I too have noticed that blog and blogger are not recognized words! what's up with that?

I don't trust blogger's spell check.

Half the time it doesn't get word verification right.

Then I am the queen of grammar and punctuation! LOL!

Come to think of it...I think you all do a great job on all three: spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

But I tell you when I read a personals profile and they continue to spell "single" as "singal"...then I pass them on by! LOL! =D

BTW, it's not really the Blogger's spell check that is having issues.

In Word, their spell check does not recognize it either. I think it's because the word is fairly new and was created in the online world.

I have noticed new words being added to Word spell check with each version that comes out.

I was recently sent an email response to the resume I posted on Monster.

Subject: Job Opurtunity

I know that a misspeled word in a cover letter can be the kiss of death for the applicant - but what about employers.

In this case, an admin was sending out mass emails to people that came up in their search parameters - so it's not like I'd be working for this person .... still it made me wonder: Is this some sort of test?

Just in case, I the spelling both in my subject line nd in the reply email.

Blog doesn't show up and it annoys me. It also didn't like the word adenoids on my blog. I had to google it to make sure I was spelling it right. I don't trust spell check.
