Is it possible to describe a personal blog without it sounding self-absorbed?
The title Off the Bridge is to reflect that I created this blog in part due to peer pressure. When I created and named it I did not anticipate still using it years down the road.
I generally post my thoughts on topics that have been floating around in my head in the previous days. I hope you find something interesting. In any case, thanks for stopping by.

An ideal worship service would allow time for worship/waiting on God after or during the singing. Opportunities to connect with God.
A sense of belonging is what I need from a church. Support, encouragement.
1- Catholic Mass
2- God
Ideal worship service--one that allows for personal praise time with God with quieter songs but still has some slightly peppy songs to help wake me up after sunday school. I like it to not be too noisy and loud that is a distraction to me personally.
Ideally a church that is good at friendships. One that is inviting but not intrusive.
I heard a sermon recently that worship is your whole existence - not just a moment when you sing certain songs. I like that and I'm trying to develop a awareness of God in my daily life that helps that - not there yet.
I think something that is lacking in what we think of as "worship services" is time when we are not expected to perform, like Golden said time to reflect. I'd like to see more of that but I accept that styles will keep changing and I don't want to be one of those people that can't find a church because of style.
In general, I want community in a church. Friends and people who know my life and I can have engaging religious or regular discussions with. Also, I don't want to feel awkward theologically. I think you can probably think of some guest speakers at OPAG and extrapolate that to a full time church -- I wouldn't be comfortable there.
